A major new study published in JAMA Health Forum finds that teens who use cannabis face significantly higher risks of developing psychiatric disorders β€” including roughly double the likelihood of psychosis and bipolar disorder β€” compared with non-users. Researchers tracked more than 460,000 adolescents into young adulthood. The findings don’t prove causation, but they’re likely to intensify conversations around policy, potency, and marketing.
