Colorado pre-rolls recalled over pesticide ☠️

Colorado's Department of Revenue (DOR) issued a warning on Monday about infused pre-rolls and flower from Dadirri, which were allegedly made with contaminated concentrate. The recalled products tested positive for the pesticide chlorfenapyr, in excess of the 0.05 parts per million that the state allows, according to DOR. The affected products were sold between April 24 and June 5, across 40 storefronts. 

Florida lawmakers want people convicted of cannabis crimes to lose medical cards 🤔

Florida lawmakers advanced legislation that would bar people who have been convicted of cannabis or other drug related crimes from the state’s medical marijuana registry. Florida Politics has more

New York also has tainted bud ☠️

New York issued a recall on June 10 of nine different products from IndoGrow LLC. The products, which were all raw flower or pre-rolls, tested positive for unallowable pesticides. The products were originally quarantined because they lacked proper testing. A subsequent analysis reportedly detected the pesticides. 

"Free" cannabis license in southern California 🗑️

In yet another sign of the dire financial situation of California cannabis, a retailer in Oxnard who could have once sold his license for as much as $3 million is now reportedly selling his license for free as long as the new owner takes on the existing lease. SF Gate has more.

Artelo Biosciences announces reverse stock split 📈

The company's board approved a 6-to-1 ratio split in order to maintain its position on the Nasdaq. The California pharmaceutical company has been researching and developing the use of CBD in medical treatment.

HYTN is official in the exports game ✈️

The Vancouver cannabis manufacturer announced yesterday that it received its first international order for vape cartridges. The order of live-resin vapes, which further increases the flow of cannabis from Canada to Europe, is destined for the Untied Kingdom.

Heritage Foundation takes aim at rescheduling 👀

Yesterday, we wrote how federal Republicans (and their Texas counterparts) were taking aim at cannabis legalization. Now, their allies outside of government are doing so as well. A new paper published in the journal JAMA Psychiatry by a lawyer for the Heritage Foundation and a prominent anti-cannabis researcher asserted that the federal government’s reasoning for rescheduling cannabis is flawed because there are no FDA approved cannabis medicines and that cannabis has a high potential for abuse.
