“A lot of elected officials are putting a bullseye on ICE — now you have people blatantly shooting firearms at federal law enforcement officers,” Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons said about the raids last week on Glass House Brands’ facilities.
“We were going after a marijuana grow facility, which happens to donate to Governor Newsom, …with a criminal warrant against an American business that’s harboring and trafficking in illegal immigration … and the forced labor of children.”
This is, of course, unconfirmed information, we should note. The raids resulted in 361 arrests and one death of a Mexican national, Jaime Alanís Garcia. The Mexican government is considering legal action, per ABC.

This one, which was filed by Democrat Emily Kinkead and has at least one Republican co-sponsor, would establish the Keystone Cannabis Authority to oversee the cannabis market. The House referred the bill to the Committee on Health on Monday.
