Jeremy Berke is the founder and editor-in-chief of Cultivated, the daily newsletter read by cannabis executives, investors, and lawmakers. He has covered legal cannabis for a decade, from Canada's legalization to New York's rollout, breaking news on multibillion-dollar deals and the regulatory fights shaping the market. He built Business Insider's first cannabis vertical and was named Cannabis Business Reporter of the Year in 2022. His work has appeared in The Atlantic, Yahoo Finance, and Inc., and he has appeared on CNN, NPR, BBC, and CBC. He's also Senior Editor at Moby, holds a Columbia MBA, and lives in Brooklyn.

Jay Rosenthal

Jay Rosenthal has spent 25 years at the intersection of media, business, politics, and policy, with a focus on heavily regulated industries. He started his career in the U.S. Capitol working for Senator Barbara Boxer, then moved to the Bay Area, where he served in the administration of the Mayor of San Jose. He went on to found a strategic communications firm serving Fortune 500 companies and to launch and sell an online publication covering California politics.

Jay co-founded Business of Cannabis, which became North America's authoritative source for cannabis news and analysis before being acquired by Prohibition Partners in 2021. In late 2023, he launched Cultivated with Jeremy.

He is also co-host of The Peak Daily, Canada's most listened-to daily business news podcast, and a frequent media commentator on cannabis, with appearances on CBC, BNN Bloomberg, and The Globe and Mail. Jay is based in Toronto.
