Rescheduling opponents ask court to hit pause ⚖️
Drug testing group NDASA and cannabinoid pharma company MMJ International asked a federal appeals court to freeze cannabis rescheduling while their lawsuit plays out. The DOJ says the challengers are motivated by "pocketbook interests," and it's hard to argue otherwise.
Cannabis giants gave $11.5 million to Trump-linked PAC in June 💰
Trulieve, Curaleaf, Verano, and a Green Thumb subsidiary each gave $2.5 million to a PAC that shares a treasurer with Trump's MAGA Inc., pushing industry contributions to Trump-linked committees past $15 million. A survey of 122 cannabis consumers published in Cannabis & Cannabinoid Research found most reported that combining cannabis with music enhanced relaxation, mood, and feelings of connection, and many said music amplified cannabis's effects when substituting it for pharmaceuticals treating pain, anxiety, and sleep issues.
