Minnesota House sends omnibus cannabis bill to governor's desk π
The state house passed a series of adjustments to the state's emerging market on Saturday, with weeks to go before the state holds its inaugural adult use license lottery. If signed, HF 1615 would create a new license type for hemp wholesalers, allow those wholesalers to sell out of state even if the product is not allowed for sale instate, allow vendors at cannabis events to offer samples and set a 1-serving limit of 10 mg for THC beverages.
New Mexico water rules leaving cultivators thirsty π΅
Growers in New Mexico are having to give up the farm amid a recent rule change that forces them to purchase expensive rights to public waterways instead of hauling water to their operation. The move has left many growers unable to afford to keep their crops watered, according to the Albuquerque Journal.
FL lawmakers: Investigate DeSantis for campaign funds π΅οΈ
Florida state reps. Kathy Castor and Darren Soto are calling on the federal government to investigate the allegedly unlawful diversion of Medicaid funds to the political campaign opposing Amendment 3 last fall, which would have legalized adult-use in the state. At least $8.5 million from a settlement with overbilled Medicaid patients in the state was diverted to two non-profits who then donated those funds to Keep Florida Clean Inc., the political action committee run by Gov. Ron DeSantis' former Chief of Staff James Uthmeier and created to stop Amendment 3.
Missouri monthly sales up 5% in April compared to 2024 π°
April was a good month for retailers in the Show Me State, with a 5% increase in sales compared to April, 2024. Total cannabis sales are on track to pass the $4 billion mark by this fall, according to the Greenway Magazine.
Massachusetts CCC puts on some rose colored glasses π
Massachusetts' Cannabis Control Commission may only have three of its five seats filled, with the former chair embroiled in a wrongful termination lawsuit against the State Treasurer while another commissioner resigned earlier this month, but they just released a new promotional video showing that things are going well at the agency.

Neither coast dominates illegal weed, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration's 2025 National Drug Threat Assessment report.
Oklahoma accounts for 66% of all illicit cannabis that was seized by the federal government in 2024. The Sooner state was followed by California, Missouri, Indiana and Maine.
